The Global LPG Partnerships works at the global level to

  • Pursue evidenced-based understanding of problems and definition and implementation of solutions;

  • Align and mobilize global expertise, capital and other resources to accelerate justifiable LPG sector expansions in developing countries beyond what local actors are able to achieve alone; and

  • Help academic researchers pursue real-world research around LPG for health and environment.

GLPGP works at the national and regional level to

  • Help consumers switch to LPG via education, microfinance and other support; and

  • Help countries (government, private sector and other relevant stakeholders) build up LPG supply and distribution systems via international expertise and funding.

GLPGP Countries

GLPGP engages with countries and regions (such as ECOWAS) at the request of the national or supranational government and prioritizes country actions based on the government’s objectives, social impact potential from LPG scale-up, global development system priorities, and other key success factors.  To date, more than 20 countries have requested GLPGP assistance.
